Does your off season support you or break you? Do you have a off season? @amelia_fkw has not trained a muscle up in months. She only had 2 when she stopped training it. How and why did this happen? I don’t know for sure but I believe it’s because her movement practice and her life are one in the same. Gardening, foraging, bread making, and restorative work are all she has been focused on. She pays attention and has increased her understanding of how her body works. This all has seemed to pay off and forced work wasn’t necessary. I have little interest in developing things that need constant practice and dedication of a specific task to keep@ a skill. I want my life to support my practice and vice versa.

The more I expect something the more likely I am to take if for granted. My food, house, family, friends and the phone I’m holding are all things I just expect to be there for me. I am fortunate but sometimes it’s hard to remember. I get a nicer vehicle and this quickly becomes my new norm. Maybe this is motivating to some but for me it’s a problem. The only solution I have found is to start to appreciate things that don’t last. A sunset may be there tomorrow or it may not be but this one will only happen in the moment it happened. It will never be the same. If I miss it it’s gone. Tomorrow maybe it’s brighter or maybe its cloudy and rains. Being happy with what I am experiencing and what I have is my goal. Not for what he has and I want. This just leads me down a road of never good enough. To all those I have been fortunate enough to count on and have been there for me. I’m sorry if I took it for granted. Thank you for your support and love.
