I’ve had hip pain before, but it was only a symptom trickling down from an injury to my jaw.
In osteopathic / craniosacral (as above so below principles), your skull and pelvis act as mirror images. Linked not just by the spinal cord / dura, but by reflexes, constantly providing feedback between the two poles:
* Occiput & Sacrum: The base of your head and the base of your spine are direct twins. Tight neck? Check your tailbone.
* TMJ & Hips: both the biggest joint of their respective poles, intimately affecting the other
* Temporals & Ilium: big bladed bones housing the biggest joints
Your body isn’t a set of isolated parts—it’s all connected. Next time you stretch your hips, try to release your jaw and feel the difference!
