When we get into new forms of physical activity it tends to be fun and exciting. 😃
Taking your time to let the whole of your body adapt to it, will be essential. 💜
Different tissues have different rates of adapating to the work you do.
Increasing duration, reps, sets, weights, tempo etc. in a slow gradual fashion will be beneficial for structures such as joints, tendons and ligaments. They need more time to adapt. Your muscle tissue will be fine and will be keen for more, so stay attentive. 👂
I’ve done 8 sessions of running so far. Last one was 7 minutes on and 2 minute walking x3. It is not particularly hard cardio-wise, but I can feel it has been a good amount for the joints to get used to it again. 🏃♀️
