View this post on Instagram AN APPLIED MOVEMENT CONTEXT which tests upper-body strength, mobility, structural awareness, skill & problem-solving 🧩 • Regardless of how many pull-ups or muscle-up you have, those are singular movement contexts which give you no guarantee of applicability. When you find yourself with only one hand hanging from an antennae on the underbelly of Cloud City – is the force truly with you? 💫 • The context is simple – start & finish hanging with pronated grip. Pass your body over the bar. Due to washing-line restrictions I limited dynamics, opting to “skip the kip” and manage the eccentric. Start with your problem-solving hat on and seek EFFICIENCY. Find a handful of variations that work every time and learn them so they are reproducible ♾ • For conditioning, you can finish off with putting all your variations together in a single set. Efficiency now become paramount not only in the individual movements, but in how you choose to sequence them together. I only made it to number 5 of the 6 main variations I dug up – swipe across to see them. There are, of course, many, many more – feel free to share those you have or find! 🐒 A post shared by Jason Round (@movemoremp) on Apr 22, 2020 at 9:03am PDT
