View this post on Instagram In a sped up reality of fast-forword consumption, set on getting to the meat of things, the “what’s in it for me?”, the “teach me the most efficient HACK to personal well-being and greatness and please GOD let it be digestible and easy!”, I ask you to SLOW DOWN and observe the quiet and patient and steady WORK of a baby. Babies like work. I know that the three I’ve raised in my amazed observation do. So I’m guessing it’s more than a trend. My best guess at the WHY of this is the curious perspective on reality that everything is novel and so worthy of attention. ATTENTION and a CURIOUSNESS to drive it. THAT’S IT. And I supply this possible ‘WHY’ as people seem to be so curious about the WHY of things, certainly more than they are about doing something, anything, for maybe no fucking reason at all. But the why is telling, as it points to the lacking ATTENTION and CURIOSITY and PATIENCE of the big baby that is known as ‘adult’. And so I point you in the direction of serious and contented working baby…. Everything new and amazing and worthy their patient attention.
