LOCOMOTIVE ELASTICS THIS IS THE SHIT and I summon all of you passionate and curious #movers to give it a go! This is my own spin/derivative of a #posteriorchain “warm-up” posted by Brandon @primalpowers (I recommend you go check out his post to see where this came from). It apparently reflects an aspect of the @fightingmonkey_rootlessroot programing and while I am too broke to workshop, the stuff I am seeing from the people who take it, makes such clear sense to me. Case and point. This variation adds a #locomotive twist to Brandon’s post, as it involves alternating weightedness between the feet. THERE IS SO MUCH GOING ON. Simple rules to follow: Weighted foot follows the pelvis (Hips back, majority of weight in back leg and vice versa). The arm swing should pair with this weight shift (Wherever your weight is, the arm of the same side should swing back and vice versa). Try this, film it, use the hashtag #LocomotiveElastics and tag me @Gfunctional. B said it was a “Warm-Up” but try and tell that to my sore ass everything below the waist for 2 days afterwards. #MoveMore #treatyoself #play #clevermonkey #fightingmonkey #Runner #Running #Warmup #Sprints #prehab #BodyAwareness #HumanBody #naturalmovement #legmobility #elasticity #fascia #movementcontrol #kinesiology #ThousandOaks #westlakevillage #calabasas #newburypark #conejovalley #Moorpark #gfunctional
