CHOOSE WHAT YOU MOVE Dissociation is the name of the game ladies and gents. In this particular movement challenge, I am maintaining Pelvic stability, while expressing Thoracic mobility. Creating the stability to stop that little ball from moving, lit up all aspects of my core, pelvic floor, intrinsic foot musculature, ERRYBODY came to the party! WHEN PERFORMING: ?Stability is primary, movement of the thoracic spine is secondary. Stay focussed on the weight distribution through the feet, keep tension on the block and between glutes. Don’t take your eye off of the ball!!! ?While rotating the thoracic spine, stay as narrow through the waist as you can pull off. Draw in through the navel and bring your abdominal wall as close to your spine as possible. ?Allow the scaps to participate in the rotation. Reach one, and retract one. Obviously I didn’t have the wherewithal to keep my shit together while going deeper into the hinge… But damn was this a fun challenge! Test it out for yourself and See! Tag me if you give it a go!!! #challengeyourself #exploremovement #movementchallenge #posture #functionalmovement #movementcontrol #functionalfitness #healthandwellness #athlete #core #barefoot #Glutes #deadlift #movebetter #yoga #mobility #flexibility #strengthandconditioning #controlledarticulation #trainbetter #kinesiology #corestrength #fitness #stretching #thousandoaks #westlakevillage #igfitness #fitnessgoals #getsome #gfunctional
