The Temperament of Impatience

Dave Wardman

“I learn it every day of my life, learn it with a pain I am grateful for: patience is everything!”  — Rainier Maria Rilke

A few days back I posted the above quotation into the Physical Alchemy Facebook group with this added preface text:

[🌌] ‘C2rberus hates this one simple hack’.

To which a group member who has been following along with my riddling Cerberus references and hints for a number of years replied: ‘what C2 hates, C3 loves?’. My answer was: ‘not always so’ – but in this little riff I am going to expand this reply somewhat.

If one approaches Cerberus as one would conventional materia for study, one is apt to fall in to simplification and over complication, because it is a study is unlike other studies. One has to learn to *see* its aesthetics. Then, as this opens, the very vaults of ones memories and associations undergo an alchemical reaction. There are many seeming false positives – such as secondary colourings – but these are resolved once one can see the triadic aesthetics [and how they mutate within strain] with a degree of clarity.

Still, some form of instruction or hinting has to be given initially, so one can begin to decipher and discern what is hidden in plain sight. One needs to begin to separate things out.. One tiny piece of this is what I am calling in this piece: the temperament of impatience.

Every body gets impatient at some point in their lives. Not all impatiences are of the same origination, however. All three heads of Cerberus produce and afflict the planetary body with impatience. They get impatient about different occurrences in the world. They get impatient about similar occurrences in the world, but for different reasons and in different ways. But it is the charge of these impatiences that we are trying to perceive – for that is specific to impatience that is generated by the heads of Cerberus.

Deeper within the anatomy of the false self, the Number also produces impatiences aplenty. More so in some, than in others. More overtly in some, more submerged in others. And of course there are general forms of impatience; things to do with traumas and immaturity of different sorts, and the like.

Somebody who does the Number 1 patterning, for instance, will very often be afflicted with impatience from that endogenous suppository known as ‘I can’t believe it’s not anger™’. This is to say people who do 1 are very, very frequently impatient [regardless of which head of Cerberus also afflicts the body] due to ‘sub-clinical’ anger; but are nearly always in denial, or oblivion, about this fact 1. Oftentimes referring to the anger as ‘just being discerning’; ‘perceiving clearly’; ‘the energy of being Present’; ‘moving with alacrity for the greater good of all people’, and so on, and so forth. If one spends enough time around people who do 1 [especially if one branches out a little, and associates with people who do 1 of all three heads of Cerberus], one can begin to discern this particular temperament of impatience that this Number generates automatically [largely irrelevantly to the scenario they are blaming the anger for, if they end up eventually admitting to it, in many cases].

Already we see this complicates things. Each Number has a unique temperament of impatience. But the energetics of this manifestation are the same [or same class of manifestation] in different human forms with the same Number [regardless of gender, economic status, or culture].

Bringing it back to disenchantment specificity, a similar study is involved with the heads of Cerberus. The manifestations of impatience from C2rberus in people who are afflicted by this head has a specific patterning to it.

Yes: C3rberus also have their clusters of triggering events, and charges of impatience: when tomes of their pet realms of study are awaiting release; when debating or ‘educating’ [educ3ting] on politics on social media; when awaiting their turn to rebut or pontificate [ ‘..well, actually… ‘x’] in an argument, or ‘discourse’; when someone is posting something uncritically, or ‘stupidly with enthusiasm’. And C1rberus: when their sports team or favourite MMA fighter is slightly up, or slightly down on points; when they are at work, awaiting their first bong-rip within mere moments of reaching home. For example.

Taking this all into account it may seem odd that I was specific about C2rberus when linking the joke tagline of the quote with the quote itself. But this is not so. The temperament of impatience in C2rberus is of a very particular character. Of a particular aesthetics. It links in to a number of key anatomical features of that head. If we take some of the other common patterns and traits of C2rberus:

‘ready, fire, aim’ – that is: to begin actions towards business success and promotion of oneself, long before one has completed ones’ studies in whichever field C2rberus is trying to unnaturally accelerate.

Blue-printing and Mimicry: the habits of trying to ask questions in a way that wants to quickly gist knowledge; to elicit hints to cheat timelines of development. Not asking questions for the love of knowledge; nor for authentic development of oneself; nor to attain full, competent proficiency in an area so they can helps others with minimal collateral. Or asking questions to covertly ferret out and steal ideas. To ‘model’ – so as to pass oneself off as being more, ‘knowing’ more than one does, et al – successful people in the realms of expertise they wish to unnaturally accelerate, usually for personal gain in terms of coin, prestige, and other social currencies.

Workshop-hopping: this is the habit of jumping between workshops, intensives, retreats, and their like. Rapidly changing whenever a method, or field of study, loses its cool. Or when Cerberus sees too many similar others [other C2rberus afflicted individuals in particular] flooding the market with a similar image, and style of delivery to the one they are trying to mimic. Think ‘Manb2n wearing’ movement culture bros. This one is particularly obvious when the person afflicted hasn’t completed any other types of education: degrees, intensive personal study of a wide range of tomes, apprenticeships over years, attending weekly classes for years and decades [of the same art]. It is quite simple to see the person does not know, nor understanding what they are talking about, if one can pierce through the emotional manipulation of marketing tactics and aesthetics. Note that these other types of study are long duration and allow natural character evolution to occur more often.2

These longer styles require patience, and other abilities that C2rberus patterning disrupts. So it is a battle upon two fronts: the warped emotional centre drives C2rberus afflicted beings to dart about between popular, or before-popular workshops and intensives. The very structure of these types of education is inflaming of other habits that reinforce the mindshape [vampirism for instance – as intensives and workshops create more emotional and other energies to feed off, than sitting in the library along reading books], and the methods of delivery that are more beneficial are innately unselected because of the specific types of impatience caused by the warping.

These habituation cycles afflicts both the person who does C2rberus and is sincerely trying to grow in essence and authenticity, and the more nefarious who are primarily trying to metastatis-accumulate currencies for themselves. 3

So now we are in a position to use the quote + the joke + these 3 anatomical points to get a better chance of perceiving the temperament of impatience of C2rberus.

Patience + C2rberus + ‘hack’ [+ ‘ready, fire, aim’ + blueprinting + mimicry] = [?]

If we look at ‘patience’ and ‘hack’, there is a clear feeling of juxtaposition. ‘Hack’ of course being one of the primary surface level habits in which C2rberus unnaturally accelerates their ‘progress’. In many ways [particularly for C2rberus]: to ‘hack’ is to be impatient. 4

So this is where part of the joke is. Rilke is talking about the alchemy of real *patience*. Whereas the use of ‘hacks’ is anti-patience.

But you see C2rberus all the time trying to escape and/or deliberately misinterpret lessons in just this manner, unawares of how comical it looks. It is a ridiculous impossibility. You will see C2rberus generating these very behaviours, and then in the next breath posting about Stillness, ‘natural unfoldment’, wu wei, and so on. 5

As the adage goes ‘what is medicine for one, is poison for another’ – ‘ready, fire, aim’ can actually be useful for certain combinations of Shape and Number as a strategy. Particularly in some C3rberus combinations, where they want to achieve a type of linked multi-domain mastery before they even begin to put out materia. In this instance the timing is off, as it is in impatience, but it is off in the opposite direction.

What does this have do with Physical Alchemy and how does this link to the *reenchantment* of the body [?]

Firstly, if you perceive this temperament of impatience in someone who does C2rberus, then you know that they bound within Cerberus. This means their bodies will not be able to interface with, nor perceive what is occurring within Physical Alchemy. So you can dismiss how they interpret it, or relate it to other things they have done; are doing; or have seen being done. 6

[**This occurs via the interactions between physical, metaphysial, and metametamphysical layers as described in Cerberus: an allegory for the disenchantment. All pieces on Cerberus are referencing this paid Essay, found on this very Substack**].

Secondly; these make up some of the initial basic fasting of Cerberus – that is if you find that you are [indeed] afflicted by the second head, the working to cease these behaviours is analogous to what we do with repatterning and alchemical order stretching within the physical body; but these are metametaphysical body stretches. Ones that link directly to the physical body because the physical body work within Physical Alchemy eventually generates a living symbol that translates across [and works to stretch the metaphysical body]. 7

Thirdly, if you see people within the physical work and adjacent spheres authorising C2rberus afflicted people to franchise their methods, who have the above habit structure; and the methods draw overtly, or covertly influence from the work of Gurdjieff; one can make further inferences.

There is much more, but not for free.

1

either can feel the anger but refuse to admit it; or cannot feel the anger radiating from their bodies, that is perceivable to outside others very simply and clearly.

2

Also note: having done longer forms of studies in no way means the person doesn’t do C2rberus; nor that it isn’t still heavily controlling the behaviours and trajectory of studies. In fact in some way C2rberus is aware of this habit, and will emphasize their having done degrees and/or longer studies [if they have] as a tacit to try and conceal the workshop-hopping habituation and what is under it still being at play within the person.

What one sees in correct identification and *working* of this part of C2rberus is ‘surrender and return’; the person identifies their overreach. Stops and puts down attempts to further unnaturally accelerate, and returns back to learn the materia properly and thoroughly. Needless to say this is an infrequent event.

3

On a more somnambulant level than workshops and intensives, C2rberus also loves ‘education by Youtube’ because of how many clips these days subtly manipulate emotions, and because watching videos that ‘gist’ – however poorly – saves them time, substitutes for research of more depth, and give the quick-but-superficial knowledge of a subject that C2rerbus is after [to give the impression of being knowledgeable, and to stop them going deep enough to bump into the immense false value architecture of this particular mindshape].

4

A further decipherment is possible here: C2rberus hacks to selfishly and unnaturally speed up their accumulation of currencies [of all types]; C3rberus hacks to bathe in their own cleverness [cl3verness].

5

particularly funny because they love using the word ‘alchemise’ and ‘alchemy’ but ‘hacks’ and hacking and all forms of ready, fire, aim; blueprinting and workshop hopping are anti-alchemical behaviours.

6

Or, instead of dismissing outright, you can dismiss the conclusions and listen to how they misinterpret what is being done; as it will be C2rberus trying to manipulate the perceptions away from the actuality, and so you will get an anatomy lesson. They do not want to say: ‘I am not sure, you should ask him[me]’ because then they will feel a C2rberus driven shame of not knowing, of not being able to understand. Which is a subtle version of some of the patterns in this piece.

7

and if you self-experiment with these fasts without doing certain types of ‘communal action’ and referencing, it is a *tell* of yet a deeper layer.
