Stretching can be bad for someone just like anything else⁣.

Context is very important when it comes to training. ⁣
Strength⁣
Flexibility/Stretching⁣
Running⁣
Jumping⁣
Throwing⁣
Climbing⁣
May not be appropriate for someone at certain times. ⁣

I personally really enjoy stretching. But for some time, I needed to stop doing my straddle stretches because it was hurting my left hip. I took a step back, assessed it, and worked on other things for a while. ⁣

I am back dipping my toe into the pancake now and as you can see, the weeks I barely did any of it, didn’t make it go away. ⁣

There is a tendency of the same sensation being in the background and wanting to come on again. I am aware of this and will work more on other things to see if it is possible for me to do deep pancake work again without the hip difficulties. ⁣

There is no doubt that the deep hip flexion has been an aggravator to my hip. Hence the need to change the stretching because it is not appropriate to continue at this stage.⁣
