Hi, Turkey’s crazy polers, how are you these days? You seem to be very worried about the currency rocketing into space. What worries me the most as a studio owner and pole maker is frankly the hike in steel! Trump, didn’t you find another metal to raise, bro? Fortunately, rice seems not affected by this situation, we can breathe a sigh of relief.
In this article, I will talk not only about clothes, but also about how the capitalist perspective and social media in general affect pole’s life, what we can do as a precaution.
First of all, let’s remember that pole is done without a pleaser and without wearing special pole frost, and it is done very well! Was there a pleaser in the past, my wife?
I would like to do the entrance by reviewing the contributions of pole celebrities to the subject. Did you know that these people, who take up a lot of space on our Instagram feed, don’t pay for almost anything they wear? Whether they are their representative or not, brands that have found the perfect space for advertising are constantly sending gift products to celebrities. Again, the same celebrities don’t pay for the magnificent photos they take in those mountain hills and deserts because they are still a great PR medium for pole photographers. People like you and me, on the other hand, start to perceive this situation subconsciously as if it were the most normal order in the world after a while.
“Of course, I have to wear something else in every post, I took beautiful photos for the last 2 weeks, I neglected my feed a lot!”
Come on dear, really? When did we all become Olga Koda?
I also don’t understand why we allow someone else to determine our aesthetic perception. I wonder if we adjust our own liking standard according to the aesthetic perception of others without realizing it? When I made the same combination with a normal shorts and top, there is a serious difference between the layk I bought and the specially combined fashionista I bought. What exactly are we doing now? What is layk, and is it the virtual currency that is the equivalent of our value? While you think about it for a while, I’ll move on to the solution of this problem.
Although we will not be able to shop for a while without seriously damaging our budget, we can continue to wear new things. We can renew our items with our friends, which no longer excite us, in an exchange method, turn it into a home gathering mini party and have a lot of fun.
We can make our old clothes different by making our creativity – or our friends who are creative – and our manual skills speak, and we can make our style speak by making our pleasers fluff. Don’t say I don’t understand those things, give it a try. In this era, everything has a youtube tutorial!
Let’s come to the main point; fashion understanding and consumer perspective in pole are not limited to clothes, unfortunately, it is also reflected in our trainings and negatively affects our development without us realizing it. Every week in the Instagram community, new tricks end like mushrooms, fashionable movements constantly blow our minds. In each training, rather than studying the technical movements and combos we learn in the lesson, we start to study the movements we see, and we even pressure our teachers to teach us them. So do we ever think about the negative effect of studying something new in every workout (who, by the way, enough to put a photo on Instagram) on our development in the long term?
To understand real learning, let’s take a quick look at the 4 learning phases in the “proficiency” theory, then back to our topic:
- Unconcious Incompetence: It is that sweet pole baby stage where you have named the studio and don’t even know what you don’t know.
- Concious Incompetence: It is the stage of not knowing what he cannot do but not knowing what to do about this issue. It is the point where negative judgments are formed about the person’s own and skill and most people give up. Have you ever noticed that there is no one left from the first class you started in Beginner 2?
- Concious Competence: “I am aware that I can do it, but I have to concentrate to do it” stage. The stage you make by thinking and remembering the movements, passing through your head first or looking at the video. Sweet moments when the seeds of real learning are now turning green.
- Unconcious competence: “I did this movement so much that I do it without error even in my sleep, I don’t sno it even if a fire is burning under the pole” is the stage where self-confidence comes, the movements flow spontaneously with minimal effort. When you look at the combos shown by your teachers with their mouths open, you witness this level. The unbearable lightness of real learning!
So what is it, to reach the mythological level we call true learning, a movement of thousands (at least!) It is necessary to repeat and combo hundreds of times. Even when you were most tired, you were able to do it perfectly without exception without thinking, tricks are the only tricks in your pocket, friends.
At this stage of the article, I invite you to make a list of all the tricks that you can say “in your pocket” with a 5-minute moment of silence. If you make this list realistic and honest, you can see that the resulting list is not very long and consists of movements below your 2 levels.
Don’t panic, this is very normal! In the past, you had more time to work with less movement, now the situation is a bit complicated. Fortunately, there is a formula that will simplify your training and increase your technique and dominance. With this formula, the new movement can direct our energy and time more effectively instead of stopping working (because regularly getting your body out of the comfort zone is also an important part of development).
Footnote: This formula is for pole players who come to 1-2 classes a week and do their own training 1-3 times a week, who have not yet been beast. If you are one of the crazy ones who train 5-6 training a week – for example, Deniz Ardalı, Melek Tuncer, from me… – of course, you can increase the new movement learning part to your heart’s content. Still, I recommend that you go back to the old days and polish it, in fact, one day you may realize that you forgot while showing the students. It happened to me personally…
Magic Formula :
-
- Warm-up: 20 min
- New/fashion movement: 10 min
- Difficult/exhausting movement that cannot be done yet (nemesis) : 10 min
- Old motion/combo cleaning: 30 min
- New move repeat: 5 min
- Condition/Coold down: 15 min
This formula is arranged for a training time of 1 and a half hours, it can be extended and shortened to the desired extent without disturbing the proportion. I think you understand the subject. We may not be able to find a solution to foreign currency, but we are doing our best to ensure that your Pole journey proceeds in the safest, effective and fun way, sir.
